This 3/4 size '59 Melody Maker we just took in on consignment is such a cool little guitar! We've been having a blast taking it for a spin through our trusty Victoria Vicky Verb - a killer combo, btw.
Need a second guitar that lives in a funky altered tuning? Travel guitar? Kids want to learn how to play? One setup for slide guitar? It's currently set up beautifully and plays great, but you could easily raise the bridge a touch and have yourself one hell of a cool little slide guitar. If any of those sound appealing, this guitar for very well get it done for you.
Condition: Very good overall condition. Some light weather checking in the finish, several dings on the back (normal for a guitar of this age) but no breaks. Bridge pickup is original but someone shaved the top of the cover off (an attempt at the Jimmy Page-take the humbucker cover off trick?). Tuner buttons are very clean and likely replaced (they work great). The bridge has been replaced but the original is included. The pickguard looks to have been trimmed a bit near the bridge, exposing a little of the electronics cavity. There's also one (stable) crack in the guard. Very little fret wear.
Vibe, mojo, soul, inspiration...whatever you choose to call it, this guitar has it! Priced with non-original but perfectly sized hardshell case.
On consignment, no trades please.
