Gibson Custom Crimson L5 Wes Montgomery (2014)

$6,200.00

From the Custom Crimson division of the Gibson Custom Shop....this killer 2014 Wes Montgomery L5! The Custom Crimson division of Gibson's Custom Shop was setup to tackle carved top builds, and, to take some pressure off the other Custom Shop/standard builds. This is the first we've seen from this group of builders and we're definitely impressed!

In our opinion, this L5 is well above most any Custom Shop Gibson we've spent time with. The build quality, playability, tone and overall feel are exceptional - we're actually reminded a touch of the Campellone archtops we carry (another phenomenal builder to be sure) with regards to feel and neck carve.

Speaking of which, the neck carve one of our faves - a fat, perfectly rounded carve that's really comfortable for both chord solo playing - or - for trying your hand at Wes-approved lines. The acoustic voice is warm, articulate, and rich - perfect for late night practicing. Plugged in, the single '57 Classic humbucker conjures up Wes Montgomery's famous tone easily - we'll leave the playing part up to you.

Condition: Like new. The only sign of prior ownership are some extremely light pick marks on the pickguard.
