Collings MF5V Honey Amber Bubble Maple (2014)

Sold

A rare pre-owned Collings MF5 Varnish, featuring beautiful "Bubble" Maple back and sides! The Italian Spruce top and Varnish finish give this mandolin an incredibly warm, open sound (and the fact that it's been played for a couple years doesn't hurt either). About that: though this mandolin is still gleaming from afar, it has accumulated a few tiny play marks on its top (please refer to photos). Other features include an ebony pickguard and the popular Honey Amber / tortoise binding look, which never ceases to amaze under the golden hue of varnish. You'd probably guess it: this mandolin can do it all. From old-time, to classical, to Celtic, it can sing like a bird or growl like a beast. Price includes original TKL hard case from Collings.
