Gibson L5 CES (1991)

Gorgeous 1991 Gibson L5 CES just in!

From what many consider to be one of Gibson's stand-out eras, this L5 "Master Model" plays great and sounds fantastic! Low action and the slightly chunky neck make for a very easy playing archtop.

Condition: Very good. There is some weather checking by the volume/tone controls, a scattering of shallow dings, swirling in the finish, and a few light scratches on the body. The neck is smooth though some of the finish is chipped along the binding from the 9th fret up to the 15th on the low E string side - we didn't notice / feel it while playing. There are no cracks or repairs and the bindings are all intact and in great shape.

The frets show some wear, primarily around the 5th-9th frets on the G, B, and high E strings. All electronics work as they should.

The secondary sticker inside is dated August 28th, 1991 and appears to have Jim Triggs signature (Triggs would leave Gibson the following year to build mandos and guitars under his own name).

Priced with hardshell case.

On consignment, no trades please.
