"Every day we try to make a better guitar, every day. You're trying to reach for more, trying to do better, not trying to do the same. A lot of companies are trying to do the same, and that's okay - that's their deal. We're trying to stretch that. Our goal is a little more." - Bill Collings

We've known that Collings is capable of making incredibly beautiful looking, sounding, and playing guitars for quite some time. To have them turn their attention to nailing the classic ES335 "recipe" but kick it up a few notches - parallelogram inlays, ivoroid pickguard & knobs - and then apply a very realistic aged lacquer finish...it doesn't get much better. And that top? Amazing.

First impressions? Super resonant, lively, and responsive. The neck on this I-35 feels incredible. The setup is simply flawless. Once you pick it up, it's very hard to put back down. The tone of this guitar matches the look perfectly - smokey, warm, fat, vintage - thanks to a pair of Throbak SLE101 Plus MXV pickups. It really nails that old ES-335 sound!

The guitars coming out of the Collings factory these days are really special guitars. This guitar could easily end your search for the perfect humbucker-equipped semi-hollow! Priced with hardshell case.
