Collings OM-42 Traditional Baked Top w/ Low V Profile

On Hold

If you're a Collings fan who's been longing for the enhanced resonance, meatier tone and vintage aesthetic of a "Traditional" model but you don't get along well with the slightly chunkier neck profile used for those guitars, this is your lucky day. This one-off Traditional OM features the standard Collings modified -V neck carve you'd find on one of their standard-series guitars. Has it affected the tone of this instrument? Not much. You may find a tinge more brightness and sparkle here, as opposed to the growlier sound of a Traditional guitar with its chosen neck carve. But the torrefied Adirondack top keeps things nice and warm, and you'll hear the same round, woody "pop" on the treble strings that makes the -T series such a welcome addition to the Collings line. What's more, this guitar has been decked out with style-42 appointments--another rarity amongst -T guitars--making it all the more collectible. To clarify, Collings is not offering this option on -T series builds; but if you've been after an OM in this configuration you're about to hit pay dirt! Priced with Collings-made vintage style hard case.
