Collings I-35 Spruce Top Iced Tea Sunburst

Out of Stock

"Every day we try to make a better guitar, every day. You're trying to reach for more, trying to do better, not trying to do the same. A lot of companies are trying to do the same, and that's okay - that's their deal. We're trying to stretch that. Our goal is a little more." - Bill Collings

The Collings I-35 Spruce Top has quickly become a favorite of everyone in the shop. Doesn't hurt that it's really beautiful to boot, right?

These are incredibly resonant and lightweight guitars. Upon strumming the first chord we were hooked. Acoustically, piano-like chime and harmonics jump from plucked open strings. Plugged in, the Spruce Top adds a complexity to the already great I-35 platform - extended lows / low-mids....sweet top end, all via low-wind Lollar Imperial humbuckers that match perfectly with this guitar.

Condition: This one has a touch of shop wear (a very, very fine surface scratch near the treble side body horn - challenging to see unless you're really looking for it). Otherwise, it's like-new but at a slightly lower price.

Whether clean or overdriven, this is an incredibly inspiring guitar to play. In the market for an ES-335 style guitar? This should be on your list. Priced with a hardshell case.
