"Every day we try to make a better guitar, every day. You're trying to reach for more, trying to do better, not trying to do the same. A lot of companies are trying to do the same, and that's okay - that's their deal. We're trying to stretch that. Our goal is a little more." - Bill Collings

We're convinced that a wraptail bridge on a LP-style guitar is simply the way to go. It changes the playing experience - the feel of the guitar - gives you a different tone...it's like taking a great Les Paul and adding a touch of Tele to the mix. See where we're going here (hint: it's good)?

For this gorgeous aged Ice Tea Sunburst City Limits, we wanted to blend elements of Jeff Beck's iconic oxblood LP and Jimmy Page's iconic LP (with a dash of Slash for good measure). We think it's safe to say that Collings nailed it. This is one of the sexier City Limits we've had - it simply screams rock n roll. That said, don't be fooled into thinking you've gotta be a guitar-into-a-Marshall kind of player. This is a really versatile guitar that does anything from smokey jazz to twangy roots rock with ease.

The aforementioned wraptail brings a slinkier feel to the already effortless playability of a Collings electric. Your right hand rests against the body/cups the bridge vs resting on the strings on a traditional bridge/tailpiece setup. Why is this cool? We find it to be really comfortable for starters, and, you end up feeling a touch more connected to the instrument which lends to more expressive right hand technique. That's a good thing, right?

As you can tell, we absolutely love this City Limits! We don't anticipate this one lasting long! Priced with hardshell case.
