"My passion for restoring and building instruments began in 1982. I have worked for numerous artists who have shaped and inspired the guitars I build today. My designs offer the revered tones and iconic vibe found in great vintage instruments, coupled with refined solid construction, boutique electronics and custom feel." - Bill Asher

Bill Asher's T-Deluxe model is one of our all-time favorite Asher designs and this ultra-lightweight Roasted Alder beauty will be the last T-Deluxe model we get with the 3-on-a-side headstock (this model now sports a 6-inline design).

Using the legendary Fender T-style guitars as a leaping off point, Bill's T-Deluxe model sports an offset body which balances beautifully and adds a more deluxe feel than your average Telecaster. What does remain is the versatility of a great Tele pushed even a touch further with the inclusion of Asher's own wonderful Sweet T bridge pickup, Lollar Firebird neck pickup, and 6 position varitone switch.

Played acoustically, this roasted Alder bodied guitar has a lively response and tons of snap & sustain. The soft V shaped neck carve and 12" radius neck feels incredible (and dig the gorgeous roasted maple flame on the fingerboard) - gently broken-in, with a nod toward modern playability (given the radius).

Plugged in there is plenty of classic Tele twang and bite in the bridge position and that killer hollow, round, Strat neck pickup-like tone that only a Firebird pickup can deliver. Mix in a 6 position Tonestyler-esq circuit (chicken head knob), which acts much like a wah-wah pedal, and you can achieve anything from Tele to Junior to faux archtop to controlled (read: useable in a live setting) fuzz tones.

These are killer guitars that make meaningful improvements on a classic. Highly recommend checking one out! Priced with G&G hardshell case.
