Julius Borges OM-18 (USED)

This is a guitar near and dear to us at TME -- it's one of the earliest Borges OM-18s there is, made right after his work with Eric Schoenberg, and it was built for then-staffer, now-songwriter Peter Mulvey. Mulvey used this guitar as his gigging instrument for many years, and it shows the signs of road use. While the structural integrity of the guitar is worry-free, it's by no means minty clean. The back and sides are lovely figured mahogany (similar to what Julius calls "Golden Grain"), and the top certainly appears to be Red Spruce. Some notable features of this guitar: bar frets, pyramid bridge, adjustable truss rod and rosewood bridge plate. It still plays perfectly up and down the neck, and has the rumbly, dry and intensely woody/powerful tone you'd expect from a Borges OM-18. While not a collector's piece, it's a great sounding guitar and a great deal for anyone interested in adding a Borges to their stable. Priced with its original hard case. No trades, please.
