Collings D1A Torrefied Adirondack & Koa Sunburst

Sold

Stop. The. Presses. This one-off custom D1A from Collings Guitars features premium Hawaiian Koa hand-picked on our last visit to Austin! This is as exceptional-sounding a Collings dreadnought as you'll find -- Standard, Traditional ... whatever the specs, this guitar has got it all in the tone department. As you'd imagine, the Collings bell-like clarity is here in spades, but the torrefied Adirondack top and Koa back and sides yield a totally unique voice. It reminds us a lot of a great Cuban Mahogany guitar: crisp and focused like an old D-18, but with a much more complex low-midrange and bass. Effortlessly responsive, and, oh yes -- LOUD. A lifetime dreadnought, which would befit any style of music and playing dynamics. Priced with handmade hard case from Collings!
